The Eloa Hotel in Natchez, Mississippi celebrated it's 80th birthday recently, and as part of the celebration, the American Lifestyle Network produced a series of feature stories on the hotel itself as well as the many wedding receptions that took place at the hotel. It's a look back, in this first part of the series at the hotel's beginnings!
The Louisiana Old Governor's Mansion was built in 1930 under the governorship of Huey P. Long, who was it's first resident. The building, of stucco Gregorian construction, is reported to be a copy of the White House in Washington, D.C. The Lifestyle producers, on a trip to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, paid a visit to this historical buyilding and spoke with the Executive Director of the Foundation For Historical Louisiana, Carolyn Bennett.
